Barney Lehrer
International Internet Strategies is a consulting business run by Barney Lehrer of New York City. Since 1995 Mr. Lehrer has been a pioneer and leader in the world of online international B2B information and commerce. He made the fita.org site a preeminent portal on the web for resources and information about international trade and for many years has been editing and distributing FITA’s bi-weekly newsletter “Really Useful Resources for International Trade Professionals.” He also was instrumental in the development of GlobalTrade.net, a social networking website for the international trade community. Mr. Lehrer is a recognized consultant for international B2B online trade and commerce. His clients include trading companies, exporters and government agencies worldwide.
Mr. Lehrer also is a leader in many international trade-related associations in the U.S. He is President of NEXCO, the oldest international trade association in New York City, Vice Chairman of the New York District Export Council and a Board of Governors member of NASBITE International.
Mr. Lehrer is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He also has earned the Certified Global Business Professionals (CGBP) certification from NASBITE International and has a Certificate of Internet Technologies from New York University. Before entering the international trade profession, Mr. Lehrer was a Juilliard-trained professional cellist performing frequently in the US, Europe and North and South America.
